From a young age, growing up with a family with predominately long and thinner hair, I always struggled with my texture and experimenting with different hairstyles. I didn’t have access to the black hair influencers we have now and always resulted in braiding away my hair to tame the mess I so desperately wanted to understand. Now as an adult I face the same battle. Learning to feel confident without my wig has been something that’s almost consumed me for the past couple of years, I so desperately want to grow in self love and accept my hair but I struggle to imagine a beautiful version of myself with my natural hair. When I first thought of Clo Clips it was more of a passion project, I sourced and wore clip ins to ease me into feeling that I could still have my hair out and in nice styles without my wig. Finding an alternative to wigs felt like a breath of fresh air and I knew that many other people would feel the same once they realised how low maintenance but still extremely affective they were. That’s when the idea of Clo Clips came about and envisioning various genders and races being able to achieve any style they want with the booster of easily applied clip ins just made sense. Whilst the idea came about based on my own hair struggles, I want Clo Clips to be an inclusive brand that helps enhance the hair of all races, ages and genders. Whether it’s a little girl who wants longer hair for her tenth birthday or an older lady who wants to conceal areas of hair loss; I want everyone to find confidence in enhancing their natural beauty with Clo Clips :)
